The Round Island Light also known as the Old Round Island Point Lighthouse is located on the west shore of Round Island in the shipping lanes of the Straits of Mackinac which connect . Lake Michigan and Lank Huron. Build in 1895 it is 57′ high. It has a Forth Order Fresnel Lens. It was decommissioned in 1947 and replaced by the Round Island Passage Light located in the Round Island Channel. After much restoration work the Light was re-lit in 1996.
