Jupiter Inlet Light
Located in Jupiter, Florida, Â between the Cape Canaveral Light and the Hillsborough Inlet Light it was completed in 1860. The 105 ft. tower is built on a parabolic sand dune. The lighthouse was painted red in 1910 to cover discoloration caused by humidity. The Loxahatchee River Historical Society operates the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. Visitors can climb the lighthouse tower by registering through the gift shop. The Lighthouse remained active until it’s full automation in 1987.
